CIVIC – Crisis Information, Volunteers, and Integrated Coordination
active 3 weeks, 6 days agoCIVIC aims to digitalize local crisis coordination by developing a lightweight web-based platform that enables municipalities to improve emergency response, volunteer activation, and local crisis communication. The project will enhance local preparedness through cross-border cooperation, knowledge exchange, and digitalization.
-Main actions:
Develop a cross-border digital crisis management dashboard for municipal authorities.
Create a volunteer activation system to mobilize local crisis responders.
Integrate an emergency alert system (push notifications & SMS) into existing municipal apps.
Conduct joint crisis coordination training & simulation exercises between partner municipalities.
Municipalities across the Central Baltic region face similar civil protection challenges but have different approaches to digital crisis management & volunteer coordination.
The project will create a scalable cross-border solution that can be replicated in other municipalities.
Joint expertise will improve crisis response efficiency, public safety, and digitalized municipal services.
CIVIC will strengthen local crisis preparedness and promote innovative approaches to emergency coordination, ensuring more resilient communities across the Central Baltic region.
