Connecting SMEs to share and Reuse Resources
active 1 week, 6 days agoProject aim is to Improve product/material cycles through decreased waste and reduced use of virgin materials.
SMEs will reduce the amount of waste they generate by sharing their production leftovers with other companies, while also replacing part of their raw material needs with reused resources from cross-border partners.
The project follows a logic where increased awareness, knowledge sharing, and digital tools will enable SMEs to engage in circular practices by exchanging production leftovers across borders. To achieve this, the project will implement the following main activities:
Development and implementation of a digital platform that enables companies to register, offer, and search for production residues.
Educational and awareness-raising activities targeting SMEs to increase their understanding of circular economy principles and practical reuse opportunities. These activities will include webinars, workshops, and real-life case studies demonstrating successful material reuse.
Cross-border network building and partnership facilitation through matchmaking events, business meetups, and cooperation with intermediary organizations. The project will encourage long-term collaboration among companies, innovation support actors, and municipalities.
