Unlocking Innovation Value Chain: Improving Public Healthcare by Promoting Digital Transformation
active 6 months, 2 weeks agoIn many countries, Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) and tech HUBs have a statutory mandate to conduct working life-oriented practical RDI projects and innovations that aim to contribute to the growth and sustainable development of the respective region. In many cases, the legislation defines these organization’s unique intermediary role in planning and executing regional innovation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders. These strategies are implemented through the innovation value chain (IVC). The IVC aims to improve the public health care system by promoting the development and implementation of innovative technological health-tech solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
However, there are various stakeholders involved in the IVC, and in many cases, strategic agreements between IVC key stakeholders are missing. Consequently, no one has a mandate to orchestrate the overall IVC. In addition, and partly because of the mentioned challenge, the lack of a common state of will, guidelines and processes, documentation practices, and knowledge transfer tools are eroding the execution of regional innovation management strategies through the IVC.
The project’s primary objectives center around optimizing the IVC involving public healthcare providers, Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS), and HUBs, to achieve comprehensive improvements in the healthcare sector, and transfer the best practices between the project countries.
The project seeks to integrate solutions that effectively address public health challenges by fostering collaboration within the orchestrated IVC among these key stakeholders. Through streamlined communication, coordination, tools, and processes the IVC is expected to become more efficient, ensuring tech innovations in public healthcare.
The overarching goal is to make healthcare more accessible and affordable to the public by harnessing tech innovations generated through the IVC. The project endeavors to instill a culture of continuous improvement, fostering ongoing collaboration and innovation within the IVC for sustained positive impacts on the public social welfare and healthcare sector.
we are looking for 1-2 universities of applied sciences or tech HUBs or such for the project, whose responsibility is the orchestration and development of the corresponding IVC. Express your interest via email niko.lankinen@lab.fi
