Wastewater treatment solutions for removal of nitrogen and pharmaceuticals
active 6 months, 3 weeks agoWe in University of Tartu, Chemistry Institute, Estonia are working on topics: wastewater treatment (nitrogen and phosphorus removal and valorizing), anaerobic ammonium oxidation process and denitrifying phosphorus removal bacteria for ammonium, phosphorus and pharmaceuticals removal from municipal and sidestream wastewater. Microbial fuel cell technology (anammox biocathode) could be useful for removal of nitrogen and convert carbon to electricity. Recent studies have guided us to recover electricity from raw anaerobic sludge, build biofilm reactors. We have published 100 papers on wastewater treatment, h-index 38, contact: a31168@ut.ee
